LAST WEEK AT HIS OWN MEETING, MR. GORDINEER ADMITTED TO REMOVING ALL CONSIDERATIONS ON LAND ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTY.

HE KNEW THAT NOT ALL WERE INCORRECT, BUT REMOVED THEM ANYWAY TO AVOID THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT IT WOULD REQUIRE TO DO THE RIGHT JOB.

THIS, IN TURN, RESULTED IN MASSIVE LAND USE VALUE INCREASES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE COUNTY TO HUNDREDS OF RESIDENTS.

MANY OF THESE WERE COMPLETELY UNFAIR AND INCORRECT.

THE RESPONSE FROM HIS OFFICE WAS IF IT WASN'T CORRECT, COME IN AND APPEAL IT.

THERE WERE MORE THAN 1900 ASSESSMENTS THAT INCREASED BETWEEN 10% AND 10,000%, WELL ABOVE THE 4% AVERAGE.

THE REALITY OF THIS SITUATION IS THAT MANY RESIDENTS DON'T KNOW HOW TO APPEAL.

THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS.

THEY'RE INTIMIDATED OF THE PROCESS, THEY'RE OUT OF TOWN, OR THEY'RE TOO SICK OR PHYSICALLY UNABLE.

FOR WHATEVER THE REASON, IT WAS A BURDEN PUT ON THE CITIZENS THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE.

THE BURDEN OF INCREASED VALUE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TAXES IS SOLELY ON THE ASSESSOR'S OFFICE.

THEIR OFFICE COSTS THE COUNTY RESIDENTS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS PER YEAR.

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE TIME FROM OUR JOBS AND LIVES TO COME IN AND FIGHT TO TO PROVE AN UNJUST INCREASE.

THIS INSULT.

THIS ISN'T THE ONLY THING THE ASSESSOR AND HIS OFFICE HAVE DONE WRONG.

DURING THE RESEARCH ON ALL OF THIS, WE FOUND THAT 1525 PARCELS HAD LAND VALUE THAT ACTUALLY DECREASED.

THIS WOULD NORMALLY HELP THE CITIZENS OF THE COUNTY BY LOWERING THEIR TAXES.

INSTEAD, THEIR OFFICE CHOSE TO MANUALLY INCREASE THE BUILDING VALUE OF THESE PROPERTIES, WHICH BY HIS OWN ADMISSION, WAS NOT EVALUATED YET, JUST THE LAND TO THE EXACT DOLLAR AMOUNT THAT THE LAND WENT DOWN.

THIS PREVENTED ANY TAX SAVINGS TO EVERY ONE OF THE 1525 VICTIMS, AND IN 23 CASES DUE TO LAND USE.

INCREASE THE TAXES.

THESE AND NUMEROUS OTHER ISSUES WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER THAN MY THREE MINUTES ALLOWED AND ARE COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

AND BECAUSE OF THIS, I PERSONALLY FEEL MR. GORDINEER SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY.

WE'VE BEEN THROUGH SEVERAL ASSESSORS AND THIS ONE IS NOT A GOOD FIT EITHER.

THE STATE TRIED TO PASS LEGISLATION, WHICH WAS PUT ON THE TABLE UNTIL 25, TO BASICALLY TAKE ALL CONTROL FROM YOU GUYS AND PUT IT IN THE STATE'S HANDS. WE DON'T WANT THAT.

YOU USED TO BE ABLE TO DODGE THE POTHOLES.

NOW THE ENTIRE ROADS ARE POTHOLES.

LASTLY, ON THE 4300 BLOCK OF TAVERN ROAD, THE WATER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS ALONG THE ROAD ARE TERRIBLE.

BARRELS HAVE BEEN UP FOR NUMEROUS MONTHS, ROAD CLOSURES, ETC.

ETC. OUR TWO FRONT HAY FIELDS.

WE'VE LOST 50% OF DUE TO WATER STANDING IN THEM BECAUSE THERE'S NOWHERE FOR THE WATER TO GO.

SINCE THE CITIZENS WERE SAYING THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION TO RESEARCH AND COMPARE WHETHER THEIR ASSESSMENT WAS FAIR OR NOT.

SO I JUST WOULD LIKE FOR EVERYBODY TO UNDERSTAND IT'S NOT AS THOUGH WE WOKE UP ONE MORNING AND DECIDED TO DO THAT.

THAT'S KIND OF THE PROGRESSION OF EVENTS.

THE FIBER WORK WAS DONE AND BUILD, AND THAT AMOUNT THAT WE ARE UNDER BUDGET IS $98,354.66.

DURING OUR FY 25 BUDGET PROCESS, OUR GARAGE MANAGER AND OUR DIRECTOR OF GENERAL SERVICES MADE SOME CAPITAL REQUESTS THAT WE ARE ASKING TO BE ALLOWED TO PURCHASE NOW INSTEAD OF INCLUDING THEM IN NEXT YEAR'S BUDGET.

THE GARAGE MANAGER REQUESTED TWO MOBILE COLUMN LIFTS AT A COST OF $27,567.30.

WE ARE ASKING THAT THE PROJECT BUDGET BE ALLOWED TO BE USED TO MAKE THOSE PURCHASES.

THERE WAS A QUOTE ATTACHED TO YOUR PACKET, AND THE SECOND COMPONENT OF THAT IS A REQUEST TO TRANSFER FROM THAT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO THE GENERAL SERVICES GENERAL FUND.
