AS YOU MAY RECALL, THIS SPECIAL EXCEPTION WAS HEARD AT YOUR MEETING LAST MONTH, SO WE WILL DO A REVIEW OF THE CASE.

THERE WERE SEVERAL QUESTIONS THAT CAME UP AND THEY HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED BY THE APPLICANT FOR YOUR REVIEW AND WANTED TO GO THROUGH A FEW OF THOSE CHANGES THAT WERE MADE AND GO THROUGH THE CASE BRIEFLY AGAIN FOR YOU FOR THIS PUBLIC HEARING.

AGAIN, THIS IS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR AN ASSEMBLY HALL OR WEDDING VENUE WITHIN THE RA RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT.

THE ADDRESS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE 9501 LAKE FUNGS ROAD ENTRANCE TO THE PROPERTY.

[NOISE] AGAIN, THIS IS AN OVERVIEW OF OUR GIS MAPS WITH LAKE FUNGS ROAD SHOWN IN THE PARCEL HIGHLIGHTED IN RED.

THIS IS THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP THAT SHOWS THAT IT IS IN THE RA DISTRICT AND AGAIN, THE PARCEL WAS HIGHLIGHTED WITH THE BLUE LINE.

THIS IS THE AERIAL VIEW SO THAT YOU CAN GET AN IDEA OF THE BUFFERING AND THE TREES AND THE PASTURE LAND IN THE AREA.

THE BACKGROUND, THE APPLICANTS BUILT A RESIDENTIAL DWELLING ON THEIR PROPERTY AND HAVE APPROXIMATELY 5,700 SQUARE FEET THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS STRUCTURE AS THE WEDDING VENUE.

SOME OF THE CHANGES THAT WE TALKED ABOUT WAS CHANGING THE VENUE ENTRANCE FROM THE PRIVATE ROAD OFF OF GOLF COURSE DRIVE TO THE LAKE FUNGS PRIVATE ROAD, WHICH IS LOCATED OFF OF ROBIN ROAD, AND THE APPLICANT HAS MADE THAT CHANGE.

THESE ARE SOME PHOTOS, AGAIN, OF THE STRUCTURE IN THE AREA AND SOME OF THE INTERIOR FINISHES THAT HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.

WE WENT THROUGH ALL THE COMMENTS FROM ALL THE AGENCIES AT YOUR LAST PUBLIC HEARING.

THEY'RE SUMMARIZED FOR YOU HERE AGAIN.

AGAIN, THE INSPECTIONS DIVISION'S COMMENTS AS WELL AS VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

THEY ARE WORKING WITH THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND I BELIEVE THAT THAT WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED AT THIS TIME BUT ALSO AS THEY GO THROUGH THE PROCESS, THEY'LL HAVE TO GET THE OTHER APPROVALS OF ALL AGENCIES AS WELL AS THERE WILL BE A REVIEW OF THE CHANGE OF USE PLANS.

THIS SLIDE HERE SHOWS SOME OF THE CHANGES THE APPLICANT MADE TO ADDRESS THE CONCERNS OF NOISE AND THE ACCESS.

AS WE MENTIONED, THE ACCESS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE ROBIN ROAD ENTRANCE AND DOWN THE APPLICANT'S PRIVATE ROAD, LAKE FUNGS DRIVE.

ALSO, THE APPLICANT HAS PROFFERED THAT HE WILL GATE AND PUT SIGNAGE AT THE GOLF COURSE DRIVE AREA OF ACCESS TO HIS PROPERTY.

THEY ARE ALSO LIMITING THE EVENTS TO NO MORE THAN FOUR EVENTS HELD PER MONTH.

AS WELL OF PROVIDING OFF-STREET PARKING TO LOOK AT ANY DISTURBANCE IN THE AREA AS WELL AS SAFETY ON THE ROAD.

AGAIN, THE STAFF RECOMMENDATION WITH THE CONDITIONS IS APPROVAL GIVEN THAT THE CONCERNS RAISED HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED WITH THE ACCESS FROM THE NEW SIDE OF THE PROPERTY AS WELL AS THE REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF EVENTS AND THE FACT THAT HE IS GOING TO GATE AND SIGNAGE THE GOLF ROAD ACCESS DURING EVENTS.

HE'S PUTTING 9099 ON THAT MAILBOX, WHICH IS THE SAME ADDRESS ON THE MAILBOX IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.

SO WHICH IS IT? DOES 9099 GOLF COURSE DRIVE NO LONGER EXIST AT THE POST OFFICE?

HE CAN CALL IT WHATEVER HE WANTS HIS ROAD OVER THERE BUT IF MAILBOXES COMING TO HIS PLACE IS 9433, 9445, AND THEN 9099, DON'T ADD UP.

THOSE TYPE OF SPECIAL EXCEPTION REQUESTS ARE HEARD BY THE BOARD IS EARNING APPEALS.

THERE WERE PUBLIC COMMENTS AT THE MEETING AND BEFORE THE MEETING, AND THE BOARD DECIDED TO POSTPONE A DECISION ON THAT UNTIL JULY TO GIVE TIME FOR THE APPLICANT TO TRY TO FIND A RESOLUTION WITH THE ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS.
